He is survived by his wife, Vicki his brothers, Andrew Lyon Jr. Peter is predeceased by his parents, Andrew and Elizabeth Lyon. He will be remembered for his strength, his smile and wry sense of humor, his kindness, his thoughtfulness, his ability to fix anything, and his bottomless love for his wife and family. He spent many days helping his daughters with projects around their homes, and being a wonderful grandfather to his three grandchildren. Soon after this he accepted a job at Robert & Company in the field of marketing and business development. He graduated from FAU with a Bachelor of Arts degree in June 1976, and accepted a job at John J. He enrolled in night classes at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, and found his niche and interest in Urban Geography with a concentration in Land Planning. After moving back to North Carolina for a brief period, Vicki and Peter returned to Palm Beach where he landed a position as a Cadastral Map Draftsman for the Palm Beach County Tax Assessor. In April 1971 he asked Vicki to marry him, and they were wed on May 29, 1971. However, in the summer of 1970 he returned to Palm Beach to work at the Bradley House, a hotel owned by Vicki’s father, Robert Williams Richardson. Peter was born on Mato Andrew Lyon and Elizabeth Flood Lyon in Melrose Park, IL. Peter Ashton Lyon, 71, of Marietta, GA, passed away on September 5, 2019, after a courageous and hard-fought battle with a rare and aggressive cancer.
